B: The Dangers

 Chemical detergents contain molecules (surfactants) that have two different ends. One end is strongly attracted to water and the other to dirt and grease. However, like any chemical reaction there is a limit to how much dirt and grease can be picked up at any time, and often it is not all of it.

To promote cleaning many of the chemical additives are harmful to both the user and the environment.

D: Solution: Bio remedial cleaning

Bio remedial cleaning works on activating harmless, naturally occurring bacteria that are found around us every day. These bacteria actively ingest dirt and hydrocarbons leaving behind only water and inert gas. They actually create the enzymes biological agents use; so as long as there is dirt and hydrocarbon they will continue to work well beyond the end of the physical cleaning process.

Illustration:  A 5 Litre concentrated  Bio 010 at 40:1 for General walkway cleaning, will make 200L of cleaning product.

Directions for use - Power Washer


  • Ensure you are familiar with the operating and dosing instructions of the pressure washer you are using.
  • Check to see if the pressure washer manufacturer states recommended dosing as either a volume percentage or a dilution ratio. (50% is not the same as 50: 1 dilution)
  • Where there is no dilution adjustment dial on the pressure washer Insert the mixing tube of the pressure washer into the container holding the diluted Bio product mixture.
  • Where there is a dilution adjustment dial, please insert the mixing tube into the concentrated product and set the dial accordingly.
  • Adjust the concentration levels on the pressure washer per the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Broadcast spray the mixture over the area that needs to be cleaned.
  • Leave to stand for 5 -10 minutes.
  • Use the “pressure wash” to aerate and agitate areas of heavy and aged staining.
  • Wash down the surface in the direction of the fuel capture drains.
